Our Story
The beginning
Back in 2015, we envisioned Basecamp as more than just student accommodation—a community for dreamers, thinkers, and go-getters to learn and grow together.
We opened our first Basecamp in Copenhagen in 2016, and soon expanded to Sweden, Poland and Germany, creating spaces that nurture vibrant student communities.
Basecamp by Xior today
In 2019 we welcomed our 100th team member, a testament to the shared effort that keeps the Basecamp vision alive every day.
In 2022 we joined forces with Xior, our parent company.
Today, as part of the Xior group we have over 25,000 rooms across 8 countries and 42 cities, we continue to build the ultimate student experience.

We recognise that real estate strongly impacts the levels of greenhouse gas emissions in our environment, which in turn significantly impacts the climate. This is why we are committed to ambitious targets on decarbonisation that we aim to achieve across our properties by 2030.
